West Ham suits have returned to the drawing board after having a £25m bid for Bournemouth duo Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie rejected and after doodling for a while have sketched a caricature of Newcastle’s Andros Townsend. Manchester United wonderkid Marcus Rashford Receives England Call

The 18-year-old striker has enjoyed a superb run in Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils team towards the end of this season, bagging seven goals in 16 games.

It may be a little premature to talk up Rashford as a serious option for England, but Roy Hodgson does have a decision to make on his final striker selection after an injury to Danny Welbeck.

Andy Carroll and Jermain Defoe could be in contention after strong seasons, but Rashford has now been given a golden opportunity to impress the Three Lions boss, according to The Sun.

A product of United’s youth academy, Rashford looks the latest top talent to come through the ranks at Old Trafford, netting twice against Arsenal and a winner away to rivals Manchester City.

Still, a place at Euro 2016 would be quite a step up for the youngster, who has so far only earned one cap for England at Under-20 level.
